Practice Areas: Reserve of Exclusive Rights

Apart from regulating the rights of authors and derivative works, the Mexican Copyright Law confers the faculty of using and exploiting exclusively the following objects through a legal figure called “Reserva of Rights”.

• Titles of periodical publications.
• Titles of periodical transmissions.
• Names and distinctive physical and psychological characteristics of human and fictitious characters.
• Artistic names.
• Names and original operation characteristics of advertising promotions.
